Atlantis the ancient island that sank beneath the sea, was in fact situated in the Atlantic Ocean, west of the Straits of Gibraltar, at a time before the land masses succumbed to the mighty Atlantic Ocean.
This island of Atlantis was a great and wonderful empire.
A violent earthquake followed by enormous floods, caused the island of Atlantis to sink into the sea.
